Sehberg Trust has been established with a vision to expand mental horizons of the Pakistani youth by exposing them to new technology and innovation in the fields of Health, Education and Livelihood. In a culture which does not encourage curiosity of mind and where teaching is still limited to a didactic style, Sehberg aims to promote an inquiring mind set which has the ability to think critically and make informed decisions which would lead to improvement in quality of their lives. With the current overload of information relayed through various media, it is essential that youth can critically evaluate and separate useful information from trash. + Show More
An informed youth is an empowered youth. Young people who are productive and financially independent have lesser chance of being exploited and used against the country. This is especially important in view of the current state of terrorism in the country which is fostered by a non productive environment.
Volunteerism improves self esteem as well as self confidence, in addition to building capacities in organization, management and leadership. Sehberg promotes and celebrates diversity in a country which is rich in different cultures thereby inculcating empathy and tolerance for each other based on an appreciation of these differences. This is the key to sustainable peace and prosperity of the country. It aims to bridge the urban rural divide, especially amongst the rural and urban youth through promotion of volunteerism and by providing opportunities for interaction so that they can learn from each other. - Show Less
